My name is Ingunn Solberg Eriksson. I was born in 1971 and I am originally from Norway. Nicklas and I bought an old, big house in 2004 in Grästorp and this is our huge project. You can see pictures of the house in the House section. I study at The Norwegian school of Veterinary Science in Oslo. Unfortunately I have a neck injury, so I am a part- time student. I hope to finnish my studies in 2009.

Nicklas and I got married the 5th of August 2006 at Bjertorp castle in Sweden. It was a dream wedding and I will always be grateful to everyone that participated in this fantastic day. I have made a weddinpage and you can see pictures from our wedding here.

Nicklas and I have a huge passion about the dogbreed saluki and at the moment we have eight of them. They live in the house with us and this breed is very relaxed inside, while they are pretty active outdoors. They are like family members and an important part of our lives.

Besides dogshows, I have a genuine interest in saluki health and the saluki history in Scandinavia. This has inspired me to develop a website, with information about all salukis registered in Norway ever (www.saluki-norway.com) and I have also written an article about the Norwegian salukihistory, from the very first import into the country. I will publish this on my website later.

In addition to the salukis, which have been a part of my life since I was 12, I used to be a competition dancer, in ballroom and latin and has won bronze medals from both the European and the World championship in latin formation dancing.

Several years ago, I got the green card in golf. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to play much, but hopefully, Nicklas and I will have the time to do so, as we have a nice golfcourse nearby.

My lovely parents live in a small town called Langhus, in a community called Ski, in Norway. My Mum is a retired radiographic nurse (x-ray) and my Dad is a sivil engineer at Aker Kvaerner. My sister, Vårin lives in Australia with her husband, Trevor Eddy and their two daughters, Grace and Scarlett, a saluki and a whippet. She has made a homepage about her family (www.vaarin.com).

Nicklas and I like to travel, and we have been in USA and Australia the last years. You can read about some of our trips in the section writings.

I hope you will have a pleasant stay here on my homepage. Before you go further, you might want to have a look at some pictures of me, from different stages in my life.

I just loved horses. These lived nearby were I grew up.

These were the first salukis I met. My neighbour Gro B and Per Henriksen owned them,
and I took care of them for 6 months, as Gro and Per went to the US in 1982.
After that they bought me a salukipuppy from Sweden, Wenarja's Yad-Rafta, callname Shamsi.
